Mathematics, physics, chemistry, and biology are the four basic natural sciences. However, due to the rapid development of science and technology in recent years, the basic education has been compressed and marginalized. Nevertheless, the basics are the source of innovation and traditional teaching in the past has also achieved today's prosperity. It is necessary to reform the basic teaching and add innovative elements.
Our College expects the "Science Education Center" can consolidate the teaching and research energy of teachers, actively promote basic science education and the student-oriented curriculums. We will improve the education of basic subjects of the whole school, open new frontier interdisciplinary courses, and plan the Science and Engineering general course for students of non-science and technology departments. At the same time, we will be in line with the promotion of the 2018 New Curriculum, open the National High School Teacher Training Course to connect middle school and university education, and keep promoting popular science education inside and outside the school.
The Science Education Center was formally established on May 18, 2017. The director of the center is the Dean or be appointed by the Dean. To integrate the business of the center, an associated director must be set up to assist the director in promoting the center's business.
